It is supposed to be a day-off (or at least a very slow day) but given the problems we have had with our injectors, I wanted to come and check the levels of our grow beds. Many of these were just filled early in January and may have been filled with poor fertilizer because of the inconsistent injectors.
We like to keep the pH in the 5.8-6.2 range, and the EC under 2.2 in the Basil (beds 9-12) and in the 1.6-2.8 range in the lettuce–preferred in the 2.2-2.5 range.
You can see that the pH is ranging high to very high–I will manually adjust them tomorrow for pH.
The EC in the lettuce is mostly acceptable except for the two where it is way too low.
Bed 6 was just added to, so I suspect those numbers are artificial because I take the measurement from the same area water is added, and they will not have had a chance to mix. I will have to check it in a day or two and see if it has changed.
The basil is high in EC across the board, so I may need to pump out some water from those beds and add some plain water. I would like to get them to the 2.0-2.2 range.
